At Rodemeyer Roofing, our foundation is built on experience, transparency, and a passion for doing things the right way. President Matt Rodemeyer founded the company after six years as a manufacturer representative for Gaco, a Holcim Elevate (formerly Firestone Building Products) brand. In that role, he didn’t just educate contractors—he transformed an entire market, pioneering the use of silicone roof coatings and turning the cool roof foam & coating industry into the largest in the nation.

As a technical trainer and trusted advisor to roofing contractors, Matt saw a frustrating pattern: building owners were often misled or underserved by roofers who didn’t fully understand the systems they were installing. Too many commercial roofs were deteriorating prematurely—not because of time, but because of poor workmanship and lack of collaboration with manufacturers. That’s when Matt realized something needed to change. Why should building owners settle for the trainee—when they could hire the trainer?

Rodemeyer Roofing was born out of that mission. Today, we offer building owners and property managers the opportunity to work directly with commercial roofing contractors who prioritize long-term solutions over quick fixes. Our approach is simple: be transparent, lead with integrity and educate building owners in making quality financial decisions for the preservation of their assets.

After years of working throughout the Florida market—especially in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties—Matt partnered with long-time friend Nathan Franses to expand operations. With Matt now based in Colorado, Rodemeyer Roofing proudly serves clients across two of the most demanding roofing markets in the country: Florida and Colorado.

Matt’s commitment to service began long before the roofing world. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, he later earned a Business Associate Degree from Ellsworth Community College and went on to play Division 1AA football at the University of Northern Iowa, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing. From the battlefield to the boardroom to the rooftop, Matt’s core values remain the same: lead with integrity, deliver excellence, and protect what matters.

You know who likes spending money on a roof? Nobody – And the reason is simple. You can’t see it. In fact, typically you forget it exists, until it isn’t functioning properly and it leaks.

For this reason, the roof gets neglected and is allowed to deteriorate beyond repair. Building owners that allow this to happen, end up spending a lot more money on their roofs. Conversely, building owners that are proactive and spend money on maintenance, turn their roofs into their greatest asset.

How is this possible? Your roof turns into an asset because the money you spend up front ends up saving you a large amount of money down the road. Reactive repairs are expensive and neglected problems always get bigger.

When the budget allows, the best solution is a full fluid applied waterproofing system. These systems can slow down the life cycle and stop the aging by extending the life of your roof with proactive maintenance.

There are a multitude of options when deciding on how to preserve a roof. We start with a thorough examination of the current roof condition. Hopefully at this stage, owners are being proactive and the roof is not beyond 25% saturation. Once 25% saturation is reached, the Florida Building Code requires the owner to reroof.

If a roof isn’t in need of a full maintenance coating, we have options to tend to the critical points of the roof. We can also provide annual or bi-annual maintenance programs. These programs include thorough roof inspections and any minor roofing membrane repairs.
